Questions
along the way.
Curiosity is a good place to begin.
What does joining the work mean?
Begin with an introduction. Share your interests, skills, location, or an idea that could serve the wider purpose. We’re building the first circle of contributors, and participation pathways will develop alongside the initiative.
Where will Illuminati work?
Our primary focus is social justice, altruism, and community support across the United States. We also hold an international outlook and welcome thoughtful connections across borders. Specific locations and opportunities are still taking shape.
Do I need particular skills or experience?
There are many ways to be useful. Practical skills and professional experience are welcome, as are local knowledge, thoughtful connections, and a willingness to listen and help. Tell us what you can bring and what matters to you.
Why the name Illuminati?
For us, the name points toward illumination: deeper understanding, compassion, and shared responsibility. We give that idea a practical purpose—helping people and communities thrive.
Are you connected to historical groups or Freemasonry?
This is a new, independent initiative. Our identity draws on the visual language of light, geometry, and learning. We do not claim historical continuity or institutional affiliation.
What does Indigenous wisdom mean here?
Our intention is to learn through relationships with specific Indigenous communities, respecting their leadership, knowledge, and choices about what they wish to share. Those relationships must guide how this commitment develops.
